I was drawn to this book from page 1! There are so many things that I have done in my life and just reading the first page those memories came back with a vengeance to my head!! 

I have laughed and reminisced with friends about the crazy antics we have done both as teenagers and young adults!!  Tequila High is a feel good book in so many ways and it amazes me how M. Leighton can pull you out of a book slumber and pull you back in to the loving the story and falling for each of the characters in a special but unique way!

Haley's life is crashing and has been for a long time.  Her childhood was great when it was great but when it crashed it took something very special away.  Trust, love, future and family were things that felt hung in the breeze.  Life was hard but moving away from it all seemed to "tame" the issues.  Freedom was needed...but in a way it was also the one thing that truly held her back from dealing.  Well things really change when she meets this handsome stranger with ties to her that can ravel or bring her closer to home.

"Tequila. Of all things, she bought me a shot of tequila.  The instant it hit my tongue..." He trails off, his eyes drifting shut. "Damn."

Nixon is this dark, mysterious man who brings everyone's senses on edge when he's around.  He has this pull that you can't shy away from and he wants a taste of the fiery red head whose guilty pleasure is tequila.  He sees her...he wants her and although he has limits, she has him!

Tequila High was a breath of fresh air and I enjoyed Haley and Nixon's story.  Their struggle is can be related to and the want that each is seeking is so real.  I enjoyed the beginning of the 100 Proof Series and can't wait for more!
