4 Star Review--Audio book of Providence by Jamie McGuire

Struggling with her father's death, Nina meets Jared Ryel, presumably by chance. However it soon becomes clear that he knows more about her than even close friends. When her father's former associates begin following her in the dark, Nina learns that her father was not the man she thought he was, but a thief who stole from demons. In searching for the truth behind her father's death, she stumbles upon something she never expected, and something Hell wants, that only she holds the key for. Jared risks everything to keep the women he was born to save, by sharing the secret he was sworn to protect.

Review:

When I think of Jamie McGuire, I didn't see paranormal books but I was so wrong. I loved the story of Nina and Jared.

Jared is an angel who has been watching Nina since she was a child. He has always been around her and protected her from so many things. There were things that he couldn't protect her from but he was always around.  When she needed him the most, he showed up and worked his way into her life.

Nina's friends were somewhat needy, especially the guys. Jealously is a dangerous thing and they were of Jared. For me, I think they saw what they wanted to be in him and have the things that he had.  It took me a little while to get used to men not being so alpha but at some points they were.  Nina and Jared had a hard time getting through the obstacles that presented to them but they fought through all of it.  Were all of the choices the best? Yes..things needed to happen the way they did so they could come back to each other on their terms.

I loved this book and I loved Jared's family. They were close, protective and they loved Nina like one of their own.  At first it was their job but it turned into so much more.

The audiobook was fabulous! The narrator was perfect and listening to other things that she has done made it even better. I will definitely by listening to Requiem as well so stay tuned!!
