What do you do when you fall in love with your best friend’s boyfriend?
That is the question that twenty-six year-old Justine Sterling has been asking herself ever since the day she met David Whitman, her best friend Renee’s boyfriend. Justine is determined to ignore her growing feelings for the irresistibly charming David, until one night, when she finds herself in the bed of the one person she should stay away from.
When Justine and David’s affair ends in heartbreak, Justine is forced to repair the damaged friendship with her best friend. In doing so, she learns that right and wrong decisions aren’t always black and white, and sometimes you have to follow your heart to see where it leads.
Review:
Love Bites by Rachel Burke was everything I was looking for
in a story and more. It was nice that even though this book dealt with a
broken love story, the book itself was more about our main character
Justine finding herself and the t rye meaning of love.
I enjoyed that the author showed the different types of
love not misting being in love. The author showed the right way to love
your friends. She showed that also no matter how in love you are with a
person, no matter how right it could feel, it may be completely wrong
for you.
I loved the dynamic between Justine and Renee, her best
friend. That even though Renee was faced with a huge betryal by
Justine, she was able to look past her flaws and show her another
meaning to true love.
Justine always looked for love in all the wrong places, and
Love Bites was the perfect story of finding the true meaning of love
and knowing what is truly right for one's self. It didn't hurt that in
the end in the other side of Renees door she found everything she was
looking for in Walter, with a little nudge from Renee.
This was my first Rachel Burke book it most definitely
won't be my last.. The non sex filled story, as much as I enjoy good
smut now and again, was definitely a refreshing feel to a story well
told.
