What happens when you love someone so much it hurts? Raine was this person who loved Macen so much not only for taking care of her in the worst time of her life but also because there was something about himself that she saw and loved. Raine was a little "wet" behind the ears with a lot of things but not be choice. She wanted a life other than friendship or big brother, protection love that Macen gave to her.
Macen is a good person, if he could only see it. He has things in his past that will destroy the future that he could potentially have with Raine. He has feelings for her but never acted on them until he loses her to his best friend, Liam.
i don't know where the relationship is going to go. I love Macen and Liam but I think Raine's heart is with Macen and Liam knows it. I can see why they both love her. She's innocent and doesn't see the world and people as others do. She a submissive in her own way and it seems appealing to both of them. The question that I have and will have to wait and see is who will she chose and why? My vote is Macen but I do love and hope that if he's not chosen, Liam wil be able to get over the hurt that he will once again have to go through or maybe they will share her????
I can't wait for the next book to see how all of this plays out.
