5 Star Review--Pierced by Sydney Landon

Synopsis:
Lucian Quinn is the wonder boy of the business world. At twenty-nine, he owns one of the hottest software companies in the world. Personally, his life has been filled with tragedy and loss. He has learned to use his hate to survive and even thrive professionally, but his demons are always there, lurking just out of sight.

Lia Adams is a college student who has suffered through years of abuse at home to get to where she is today. She has done whatever was necessary to survive, including working as an escort for Date Night to pay for her education. Her life changes forever the day that Lucian Quinn’s friend convinces him to hire an escort for an important business dinner.

Circumstances bring two people that should have never crossed paths together and in the days and weeks ahead, they grow close quickly, each seeing a kindred soul in the other. As ghosts from their past rise to haunt them, they cling to each other as their lives start to spiral out of control. Soon, they realize that they’re both damaged possibly beyond repair. Will their love be what saves or destroys them?

This book is meant for mature readers who are 18+. It contains explicit language, and graphic sexual content.
**Book 1 of the Lucian & Lia Trilogy. Lucian and Lia’s story will continue in Fractured before concluding in Mended.**

Review:

When I say if you haven't read "Pierced" you are really missing out, it's the truth.  I have read a lot of fabulous books but this story captured me from the beginning. This is a trilogy that I can't wait to read but the end of the book is a cliffhanger so be prepared to bite your nails!!

Lia is a college student who works to pay for everything. She has no one to depend on and the person who she should depend on is worthless, to say the least.  When she meets Lucian, it is due to circumstance and he wanted her from the first time he saw her. Lia wasn't naive but she didn't see some things that was right in front of her.  Lia was a nice girl but she was a loner. She didn't have many friends and was picked on often; by everyone.

Lucian is a young, savy businessman. He has had some hard time in his life but we have yet to figure out what those issues are. I think I know what happens but I feel we'll find out more in "Fractured".  Lucian is a hard worker and he seems to be somewhat of a dominant, maybe in training. He really alpha but I think it comes from growing up without the people that mean the most to him.  He had a father figure in his life, but it's nothing like the real thing.

When these two meet, it isn't love at first site but more like lust and first touch. Lucian wants her at that very moment but Lia puts up a cat fight. She eventually goes for it and then something clicks.

I absolutely loved this story. I was always on my feet thinking I was going to find out what happens but I don't. Just when I think I have it all figured out, something else happens and it changes.

"Now, back to my earlier question. Did you do what you were told?"

"Um...I have no idea what you're talking about, Mr. QUinn."

It's Luc...and yopu know exactly what I'm talking about."

......

"Listen, MR.QUINN, I'm flattered you want to...you know, but I have no intention of quitting my job or doing...that"

"Oh, Lia, you never challenge a man like me. I promise you; you'll do everything I want you to do and beg for more.  I'll see you soon."

Oh, decisions, decisions. How will Lia handle all of this?
