Author Maggie Cole is a new-to-me writer, and I have to say—I was completely pulled into Dr. Red Mercer and Blue’s world from the very beginning.
Living under constant expectations is exhausting, and honestly, who really wants to live that way? Blue is at a breaking point, tired of being who everyone else thinks she should be. Like all of us, she has her struggles—but things take a darker turn when she begins seeing Dr. Mercer for what’s believed to be stalking tendencies… or is it really just her perception?
Dr. Mercer is the kind of man many women would naturally be drawn to, but as Blue becomes increasingly fixated on him, the lines start to blur. At the same time, his own feelings begin to shift, creating a complicated and dangerous dynamic. The biggest conflict? He cannot cross the professional boundary of doctor and patient—but what happens when emotions take over?
This was such a shocking, page-turning story that kept me hooked the entire time. I’m already looking forward to the next installment in Blue and Dr. Mercer’s journey—I have so many questions that need answers!
