Review:

Aly Martinez has given us a love story but boy was it heartbreaking.  This is the first time I have read something so intense from Aly and I must say I wasn't prepared.

Truett is a man who is lost and his spirit is broken.  Truett is grieving and is stuck in the past.  It seems the "chains" he has carried for years continues to get tighter and tighter as the days go by. When Gwen comes back in his life, things are changing but will it be for the better or worse?

Gwen's went through her fair share of life events but she was ready to start over.  Her goal was to start a new life and take care of her son but it seems the past just can't stay in the past.  When Truett makes his way back in her life and slowly in her heart, can she take this on once again?

Truett and Gwen's story leads us on a road of sadness and just when you think you know, you find out you're incorrect.  This is a must read of 2024.  I won't tell you the who's, what's, when's, where's and why's but I will say not reading this book is a mistake.
