I don't know where to start with this wonderful written book! My heart broke for Vittoria. She has gone through so much. The past and present trauma weaken her but also but also made her so strong. Vittoria exemplified what Bastian and Amadeo needed.
Bastian and Amadeo was somewhat likeable but also for a while men who we grew to hate. The need to control and somewhat break her was overwhelming at times but soon things changed. The protectionisms set in and made me see them in a different light. The fight or flight response set in. Can they protect her? Are they destined for a HEA?
This book is a must read after reading book 1, Ruined Kingdom. You will not be disappointed and will love the ride you're on.
