I wasn't a fan of historic stories but Jodi Ellen Malpas has changed my mind. This story was so much of what I was looking for and a lot more and what I wasn't.
Eliza is head strong and the daughter of a newspaper owner. The business is starting to boom and she is suddenly living in a new area, begging to be in the business and write for the newspaper and slowly becoming someone she doesn't want to be.
Life takes a turn when motions are set in place for her and the Duke. Elisa has a new life starting, without her approval. There is a lot happening within her family and watchin it all play out is fantastic.
Will the Duke safe her? Can he make thins better? Can he make a change for all things happening?
I loved this story and can't wait to read more.
