I knew that when I jumped back into the Knight's Ridge world, I would be utterly consumed again! It was the same way when I read the first three books in this series (even though the couples can be read as standalones, and this is the first story in this portion of this series)!

Emmie and Theo. **Fans self** I knew their chemistry was off the charts from the glimpse we saw of them in the other books but hot dang man. Emmie is this absolutely bada** heroine who seamlessly fits into this world of mafia and mayhem. Her and Theo have such a love, hate relationship from the very start.

I loved the dominate side we see of Theo. It was sexy, intriguing and made him unforgettable.

The only reason I didn't rate this five stars is because I did feel a little bit of a disconnect with Emmie and I don't know that I got everything I wanted from her. I know her character is still developing so I am excited to see where the author takes her.
