Four Star Review// Make You Miss Me by B. Celeste

 Release Date: September 2

Stevie Foster thought her happy ever after would come easily after saying “I do” to her high school sweetheart at nineteen.

But twelve years later, she finds herself divorced, settling into a new home, in a new town, with a new job as an elementary teacher trying to pick up the pieces as she goes.

On top of struggling to cope with the future she always wanted versus the one she’s been dealt, she soon realizes that her new neighbor is a strict, stone-faced man she’s all too familiar with.

Lieutenant Colonel Fletcher Miller.

The man once in charge of her ex-husband’s unit.

And as if the reminder across the street of what she lost wasn’t painful enough, she also becomes his young son’s teacher.

A single dad. A divorcee. A second chance at love neither knew they’d get.

Four Star Review//
B. Celeste always manages to wrap me up in my emotions. Where they consume me and make me feel like that's all I can see. This book Make You Miss Me, her latest was no different. I absolutely adored Fletcher. And Nicki. You guys, the love that permeates from Fletcher is something every child should feel from their parent in their lifetime, daily.

As much as I liked Stevie, I didn't fall in love with her as much as I have with previous B. Celeste characters. I kept trying to connect to her but felt myself falling flat. She's a great character with amazing depth but not my kinda girl. That was my only fall back from this book.

Her connection with Fletcher though, that sloooow sensual burn was worth all the lead up. Her interactions with Nicki too made me like her just a little bit more.

This book captured what heartbreak of a different variety can feel like. This book showed how to find your true self and I believe that was a journey Fletcher and Stevie both navigated in this story.

I will always pick up a B. Celeste book and drop everything else I'm doing. This book was no different. Can't wait to read more from this author who knows best how to tug at my heartstrings.

4 stars!
