Author K.A. Linde brings us a book of second chances. Lark was one of my favorite innocent characters in The Cruel Trilogy. While working previously on a campaign trail she meets Sam. She falls for him but thing don’t always go the way you want them. Although she’s from the upper east side and things run differently from let’s say the world, she didn’t want to be known as that. She want to build her name by who she is and not by her family.
Lark has politics in her blood so she heads back to the campaign trail. Unfortunately/fortunately before her very eyes is Sam. I loved Sam but I adored Lark. Sam knew what he missed and I feel wants to make it right. He’s in it to win it but can he? Will Lark give in to the desires of both her heart and soul?

I've been a die hard KA Linde fan from the beginning #TeamJack, and you guys this new book by such an incredible author didn't disappoint at all.
KA Linde gave us this fun and semi angsty second chance romance that I couldn't put down. If Linde knows how to do one thing right, it's give us head strong and confident heroines and I loved Lark for this story. Plus, I love that name.
Lark is thrown for a blast from the past when the one that got away, Sam is directly in her path after their hiccup of a break up. These two have such a fun incredible chemistry. Sam was not my favorite from the get go but I totally fell in love with him. Their banter was so fun and fresh.
I love how the words of Linde just flow on the pages of a book. I wasn't able to put this one down. I can't wait to see if we get more from Lark and Sam and the supporting characters. I know the whatever comes next will keep me on my toes just as much.
