Umm can I just say WOW! I love all of Aleatha's characters but Patrick may be my favorite. How does she do it? How does she knock you on your behind, pick you back and and drop you again with no complaints!
Patrick didn't have alot when he was younger. He wanted it but things just didn't turn out the way they should have so he turned into this cunning, non forgiving man who went after and got what he wanted. His life made him stronger and willing...willing to do what needs to be done. His life was okay but he got hit hard when things and people from the past show up.
Maddie is a fighter. She knew that things didn't come without a price. She was smart, stayed on her toes but never showed her feelings. I wanted to know what was in her head the entire time while I read this book. She's on the run and things are getting ready to take a turn.
I have questions, some answers, some thoughts, some maybes and a lot of I don't think so's. Where will Aleatha take us next? You have to read this book to prepare for what could be next!!
