Synopsis:

How to kick off a great summer in the Hamptons:

Snag a gorgeous rental on the beach. Check.

Get a job at a trendy summer haunt. Check.

How to screw up a great summer in the Hamptons:

Fall for the one guy with a dark leather jacket, scruff on his face, and intense eyes that doesn’t fit in with the rest of the tony looking crowd.  A guy you can’t have when you’ll be leaving at the end of the season.

Check. Check. Check.

I should add—especially when the guy is your sexy, tattooed God of a boss.

Especially when he not only owns your place of employment but inherited half of the town.

Especially when he’s mean to you.

Or so I thought.

Until one night when he demanded I get in his car so he could drive me home because he didn’t want me walking in the dark.

That was sort of how it all started with Rush.

And then little by little, some of the walls of this hardass man started to come down.

I never expected that the two of us, seemingly opposites from the outside, would grow so close.

I wasn't supposed to fall for the rebel heir, especially when he made it clear he didn’t want to cross the line with me.

As the temperature turned cooler, the nights became hotter.  My summer became a lot more interesting—and complicated.

All good things must come to an end, right?

Except our ending was one I didn’t see coming.

Rebel Heir is the first book in the Rush Series Duet.  Book Two, Rebel Heart, will release six weeks later on May, 22, 2018.

**Jess's 5 Star Review**
Holy crap. What did I just finish! I devoured this book. One sitting. Done. Vi Keeland and Penelope Ward killed it again! Rebel Heir was easily one of my favorite books of the year. It got me, hook, line, and sinker.

First off, Rush, YES! Swoon. That man was my dream book boyfriend. Tatted. Sexy. Single. And he had money. What more could a girl ask for. He was the bad boy with a heart of gold.

Gia, our heroine, I absolutely loved her carefree, take no one's crap attitude. She was her own badass book girlfriend in her own right. The chemistry between these two is INSTANT. The banter and bicker and develop this friendship that just burns with a fire. They each have their own pasts that, though they are similar, they both fought to get to where they are now.

I loved Gia's profession. It was very fitting and how Rush was able to help her creative muse flow. They just complimented each other so well. The fighting, the loving, all of it.

But every true love story has to fight for their happily ever after and I can't wait to see Gia and Rush fight for theirs in Rebel Heart. This book does end on a huge cliffy, but I know our ladies are going to make it end right!

Trust me! If you haven't picked this baby up yet, get on board! You want to join me on this Rush Crush. Sigh.

**Sheraka's 4 Star Review**
I'm a huge fan of Vi Keeland and Penelope Ward and I was so excited to jump into Rush and Gia's story.  Rush and Gia both had similarities and differences that made their relationship work.  I liked Gia but absolutely loved Rush!!

Rush is a young, rich guy that worked for everything he had although he was born into money.  He was raised by his single mother and lived a modest life.  He wasn't like most kids and enjoyed earning what he had and wanted to make a difference in his life that would help others.  Rush is a character which anyone could connect to on many levels.  He was protective, caring and in the end....hopeful of life, love and his future!!

Gia was similar to Rush in her upbringing but she is very different.  I couldn't connect to her and she upset me a lot. I enjoyed her being free and secure but I felt there were things missing that could have made me like her more.  Gia was funny and the banter between them was funny.  Both wanted something each of them had and the saw a bright future.  I liked that this was an instant love but a friendship that grew. There was a hunger that was strong between these two and I wanted to really see it grow.

Things take a turn and no one will know how it ends...what the beginning, middle, or end will be but we know it will be huge!!  This book does have a cliffhanger that I caught onto quick so I can't wait to see how this plays out!!
