Natalie is the youngest child of Claire and Tony and her story brings back so many memories of her parents. Natalie is the quiet one of the bunch. She truly is her mothers child.
Natalie was clueless to a lot of things, including the events that surrounded her mother and father. She just wanted to live...she wanted love and she wanted to be loved. There was also a side to her that needed and wanted to be controlled. She needed a dominant man to control a side of her that lacked.
Dexter was a "crazy" character of sorts. He lived off of the past and wanted things to go a certain way based on what he knew of that past. The only way it would turn into that is the force it and that is what he did. He changed things in a way that made you wonder is this the best way or it made you wonder is this person just crazy?
I loved Ripples!! I loved Natalie's journey into becoming the person she is but I also want more. Does her live turn out like her mothers? Does the side of her that is so much like her father come alive? This book had a ripple effect on the lives of everyone in this series. Although you can read this book alone, I urge you to read the series.

Ripples (Unabridged Version) is Natalie’s story, the youngest of Tony and Claire’s children—their baby. This story first appeared in shorter form in Glamour: Contemporary Fairytale Retellings. Due to the length restriction of each novella in that anthology, many scenes in Ripples were shortened or omitted for that anthology. This unabridged edition is the entire story—double in length and—a full-length novel.
