Review:
I was given an arc to read for an honest review and I can honestly say I absolutely loved this book!! Landon and Macy had the sweetest love story. They were high school sweethearts and I must say their story was so sad, loving, heartbreaking and everything in between.
Landon did some horrible things while transitioning from high school to college. So led to things not in his control and others led not only him but others in a path that was only destructive.
After a night of partying, things that we will later find out happened in the car and the loss of a friend, the crew headed down a path that no one could ever imagine. Madison, Macy's twin, has lost all of the things that made her who she was. She is alone, she is sad and she is on a suicide mission. Madison made a lot of wrong decisions and some of them was done to Macy. How do you make it up to your sister when you did the worst thing imaginable?
"My shining star, you're always there shining the brightest out of all the millions of stars in the sky. Even when the clouds roll in threatening to dull your light, you're still the brightest of them all. You're always letting me know that your are there no matter how dark it gets."
Everyone had their issues but Macy was always the one who brought everyone back to each other. It was solely the love that she had for her friends that made them all depend on her love to live, to survive and to become to people they should be. Macy is the strong one, the glue for this group despite all of the turmoil they face.
I am so glad I was contacted to read this book. Not only was it a great story but there were a lot of issues that you would never imagine could and would happen. I am very interested in reading more from Author Megan Smith!!
