Review & Book Blitz~ Dirty by Kylie Scott

Synopsis:

Love—on the rocks….
The last thing Vaughan Hewson expects to find when he returns to his childhood home is a broken hearted bride in his shower, let alone the drama and chaos that come with her.
Lydia Green doesn't know whether to scream or cry in a corner. Discovering the love of your life is having an affair on your wedding day is bad enough. Finding out it's with his best man is another thing all together.
Just when this runaway bride has nowhere left to turn, a handsome stranger offers her a broad, muscular shoulder to cry on. Vaughan is the exact opposite of the picture perfect, respected businessmen she's normally drawn to. This former musician-turned-bartender is rough around the edges and is facing his own crossroads. But Lydia's already tried Mr. Right and discovered he's all wrong--maybe it's time to give Mr. Right Now a chance.
After all, what's wrong with getting dirty?
Dirty is the first book in the Dive Bar series from bestselling author Kylie Scott.

Review:
You know those books that make you laugh, get mad, and get so enthralled in a story, yeah? Well that is how every book Kylie Scott has ever written is for me. She never disappoints, never writes something I don't enjoy, ever. Her books are the ones, when I'm in a book funk I pick up first thing. Dirty is no different. I have read this baby no times short of 3 since the release. The first time you read it you devour it, the second time you read it you enjoy it, and the third time you read it, you finally get to savor it. Vaughn, Lydia, the whole Dive Bar crew.

First let's start with how unconventional this book starts out. I think that's why I loved it. Hiding in your wedding dress in a strangers bath tub after you've broken in trying to escape your fiance who has been sleeping with HIS best man for longer than anyone knows. It doesn't get much better than this. I love that we get to see Vaughn naked too. That's enough to make you swoon something fierce. Vaughn is sexy, strong and was definitely what lit up the pages of Dirty for me.

I loved and adored Lydia as well. She was feisty, determined and was afraid to speak her mind. I loved that about her. I think one of my favorite things about a Kylie Scott book too is that her females aren't just stick skinny airheads, with a perfect body and perfect hair. I live that her females are real, and independent. It makes her books so much more enjoyable when I can relate to the characters so fiercely.

Lydia and Vaughn may have started out unconventional but they became all sorts of things right. I don't want to delve too far into the story because I do believe it is something you need to experience for yourself. Her words captivate, hold, and stay with you. Kylie Scott is going to have a hard time topping herself with this one.
