Release Day & Review~ The Fire Between High & Lo by Brittainy C. Cherry

Title: The Fire Between High & Lo

Series: Romance Elements #2

Author: Brittainy C. Cherry

Genre: Romance

 Release Date: March 25, 2016

There once was a boy, and I loved him.

Logan Francis Silverstone and I were complete opposites. I danced, and he stood still. He was quiet, while I ran my mouth. He struggled to find a smile, and I refused to frown.

The night I saw the darkness that truly lived inside of him, I couldn't look away.

We were broken together, yet somehow whole. We were wrong together, but always right. We were the stars that burned across the night sky, searching for a wish, praying for better tomorrows.

Until the day I lost him. He threw us away with one hasty decision--a decision that changed us forever.

There once was a boy, and I loved him.

And for a few breaths, a few whispers, a few moments, I think he loved me, too.

This book by Brittainy C. Cherry is holding a special place in my heart, The Fire Between High & Lo. I can't remember if the drug use in this book is discussed or not but those elements made me fall so in love with this book it's not even funny. AND NO I've never done drugs, but I have lost too many people because of their addiction.

The feeling of being helpless because someone you love has picked their addiction over you is a feeling I'm very familiar with.

Aly and Lo are amazing from the very start. I loved Aly. She was strong determined and made me laugh from some of the first pages. I enjoyed Logan but didn't fall in love with him until the second half of the book where he became the man I knew he could be. The only thing I wish Aly would have been stronger about was how she gravitated toward Logan. He was her weakness as she was his. She became his enabler. As much as I hate to say it, his distancing himself from Aly was probably for the better.

Their love story is something that transcended their time apart, It was so raw and real. Beautiful doesn't even describe the emotions Brittainy C. Cherry made me feel.

She has quickly become a go to author for me. A favorite for sure. Her words just flow so effortlessly on the pages. She makes me laugh, she makes cry. and she just gives me the absolute feels.

If Tristan & Logan are anything to compare the next books in the series to, she needs to step up her game! :) Not really... but seriously these books are ones that stay with you so long and give you such a monster hangover, it's not even funny.

Well done again, Brittainy! SO beautiful & so real.
