In this follow up and final book in the Rosemary Beach series, Abbi Glines gives up Captain and the sweet and gorgeous Addy. Addy is a blast from Captain's (River's) past. They share a history together so strong and so true that when Addy comes to town as someone else, Rose, Captain immediately feels drawn to her like he used to with his old Addy.
Addy has a secret. One that she has kept with her and taken care alone since the last time she saw River Kipling. She's back now to see if River is worthy of sharing her secret and knowing she's back.
I'm not going to give too much more into the story away. Abbi Glines gave me everything II was hoping for in this story. Addy and River had this Undeniable chemistry between them and once Addy's secret was revealed, the way River handled it made me so dang proud. He showed while he was the Tough guy with a heart of steel, when it came to Addy, he was still that sweet, caring River that she knew was still in there.
The writing was fabulous. The story was flawless. Abbi Glines really delivered in The Best Goodbye. I am so sad to see this series coming to an end.. From the beginning with Blaire and Rush to the end with Addy and River "Captain", this series will hold a special place in my heart and definitely hold the number one spot for the best series Abbi Glines has ever written.
