I can't say enough about Author Chelle Bliss! This series is one of my favorites and to say I'm sad to see if slowly coming to an end is an understatement. Chelle has given us yet another 5 Star read and I recommend this to everyone.
Thomas was briefly introduced in Resisting Me and we learned then how strong willed and protective he was with Izzy. Thomas is a bada** DEA agent. He's just as alpha as all of his brothers but he puts alpha on another scale.
Roxy, his life line, was in a shi*** world. She was alone and had no one. Her mother is a sk*** and was never around. So what would someone do but what they can to survive. Thomas was her hero and her beating heart. She loved him for protecting her but also for just being her friend.
Thomas and Roxy are different from the others because of how they met and the "bad luck" that followed them. Just when you think things are going to work out, crazy comes lurking. This luck was the saddest and worst kind of luck that not only jeopardized them but people who they loved.
Thomas and Roxy were able to become who they were meant to be and help each other through the dark. The light at the end of the tunnel was bright and once reached, it was only brighter.
