Summary:
Ignite Trilogy, Volume 2: DJ & Phina

I wear my scars like a scarlet letter, reminding myself that I’m not worth the trouble.
I’ve spent seventeen years pushing men away, never allowing myself to believe in the fairytale…then, he walked back in.
Just like before, we explode when we’re together. I hate him for what he did to me, but I can’t stay away.
Eighteen days filled with passion and promises.
Nineteen letters filled with threats and foreboding.
It only takes twenty minutes for the numbers to all add up.
One thousand, two hundred seconds until everything changes and there’s no going back.
This is my story, and it’s going to leave a scar.

Holy HOTNESS!

Tara Sivec has done it again and solidified why she is still one of my top favorite authors. Branded is the second book in her latest sexy read Ignite series, book one being Burned.

Branded tells the hot as sin story of Seraphina or Phina for short and DJ... Hmm hmmm... DJ. Sigh YUM.

Phina has a dark mysterious past that no one including her closest and best friend Finnley knows about. Phina keeps it to herself for fear of people thinking less of her and thinking of her as the monster she fears she is. Until DJ comes back into her life, Phina lives her life the same way, day in and day out, with nothing but the thrill of her hidden secret to bring her to life.

DJ and Phina have a history... A history DJ has no memory of. And that is completely and totally unacceptable to Phina so her one mission is to make DJ suffer... But the tension between the two gets to be too much and eventually explodes.

Phina and DJ were literally just that... EXPLOSIVE. Hot. Sexy. Secretive. SMOKIN'!

The layers that Tara Sivec puts into this story proves to show just how phenomenal of a writer she is. Her stories always have such emotion and feeling and it is honestly one of my favorite things about her books. I also love that no matter what type of story Tara writes, they always have heart and soul put into it.

DJ and Phina and their story in Branded is no different. I felt myself loving Phina from the very first pages, her no holds bar, strong willed, independent woman attitude.. It was refreshing to watch her not fold under pressure and put up a fight against DJ even though she knew she wanted him with her every being. And DJ was great too.. He was sexy, charismatic, and just as strong willed as Phina. Together they were mesmerizing and powerful!

I read this story in 4 hours, from page one until the very end. I was up late and I wouldn't have had it any other way! This story was fun, sexy, suspenseful and most of all a true love story! Everything Tara does well, it was in this book! Can't wait for more... Seriously. I can't wait to see what this amazing author throws at us next!
