I just can't get enough of Tara Sivec and her hysterical, witty romantic comedies. She puts the fu- in funny! I had the amazing privilege of reading this baby early, and oh my goodness, I'm so glad I got the chance.
While the other books, Shame On You and Shame On Me were funny, Shame On Him was by far my favorite book from the series. Dallas and Lorelei were so funny and cute together. I couldn't decide if I wanted them to rip each other apart or just get to humping already. They had this crazy spark that you could just feel would keep a relationship between them interesting.
Lorelei is strong and independent. She's a lawyer by day and a private investigator by night (not really only night, but it sounded good). :) She hates the ever loving poop out of Dallas, and that is what makes this story so great. The chemistry is explosive. Dallas is sexy, he's strong and he loves to give Lorelei a hard time. They are the quintessential can't stand each other couple, but it makes the story so much more interesting.
I loved the ladies from this series, they were girls with a kick ass attitude and a bad-ass profession. Lorelei was the perfect ending to this awesome series.
Tara Sivec always writes great romantic comedies, stories that have you snorting laughing, sighing in awe, and saying oh my goodness, what the f*ck! But they are always great. It is such pleasure to read stories from an author who can write it all, comedy, suspense, drama, everything.
The Fool Me Once Investigations Series is by far my favorite comedic series I have had the chance to read by Tara Sivec. They are short and sweet and straight to the point with the right amount of testosterone to get your female bits going and the right amount of wit to have a strong heroine, and good lead female.
This book was a definite witty 5 star read! My only complaint as had been with all the books in this series is I wish they were a 'liiiitttle-bit' longer. I just want more from these characters. I loved them so much, I just want more.
