OMG so this book was so freakin hot!! Bret MacLean was a give me what I want, I'll give you what you want and leave me alone type of guy. He owned a club and was very successful but once he laid eyes on Evvie, that game suddenly dwindled.
Evvie was Bret's match. She grew up in an unstable live with a father and three overbearing brothers so dealing with a alpha male was nothing and she could hold her own, that's until she met Bret. Bret and Evvie were meant for each other but there was too many insecurities from both of them to completely follow through and the past always came back to haunt them.
I absolutely loved the chemistry in the book between the characters. It was electricity from the beginning an throughout the book. The story line was very good but I would have loved to know more about them and their past to understand why they are who they are as well as other nicknames for them.
This is the first book on these characters although Bret was mentioned in another series but didn't standout. I'm excited to see where the journey goes since Bret has done somethings that he's always wanted to do.

I'm a new self-published author who just got introduced to the writing world early 2013. My aunt suggested that I write a story because I'm an avid reader but I waved it off and left it alone. Well this year, a story came to me and I went with it. It took me a little bit but I finally got a story idea that worked and now I can't stop or control the characters/stories that keep popping up in my head. I'm born and raised in Canada and I live with my very wonderful and supportive husband, Michael. We don't have any children (yet) unless you count our cats. My hubby been my rock through this whole new experience for me. I couldn't have done it without him and my friends and family. One of the many things I love about this new chapter in my life is that I'm learning constantly. It's never a dull moment and as long as one person likes my story, I am happy.
