Synopsis

Just a few short months after her son’s birth, Charlotte Fallon faces a parent’s worst nightmare. In her darkest hour, she finds herself abandoned by her husband, Derek, left to deal with her heartbreak alone. Jobless and with very little money, she fights to regain her footing.

As the months pass, secrets her husband managed to bury are unearthed and she wonders if she ever truly knew him. As the truth continues to come to light, Derek’s business partner and Charlotte’s friend, Gregory Swift, steps in to help her deal with the repercussions of her husband’s betrayal.

Seasons come and go, and, as Charlotte begins to return to life, she realizes that she is much stronger than she believed. And while a pain this deep can never be forgotten, Charlotte learns there is room for joy in the future as the wounds heal. Even a winter of sorrow can eventually warm into a summer of sweetness.

5 Star Review

A lot different than what I have read from C.C. Wood before, but even with that said,
SHE DID NOT DISAPPOINT!!

Seasons of Sorrow is the story of Charlotte.
Charlotte suffers immeasurable loss. Something no one would ever want to or should ever have to endure. When the one person who Charlotte thought would be there to stand by her side isn't there, holding her hand like she needs. She is beyond devastated.

The one person who Charlotte is able to depend on is not the person she was hoping but is still a blessing in disguise for her, Greg. The life Charlotte believed was real turns out to be a lie and this book is Charlotte's return from the heartbreak.

This book touches on some devastating subject matter and because of that I had a good cry or two! Or three or four. BUT I loved it. I loved that this wasn't a traditional read for this author.
I loved that Charlie had such an amazing support system in her friends.
AND I LOVED that she was broken and hurt but she slowly got put back together.

I love a story that can take you and put you right into the story along with the author.
5 stars for sure.
I loved how Greg made Charlie feel safe. I just loved him.. Swoon.
Beautiful story of heartbreak, loss & betrayal.

Thank you C.C. Wood for taking such a heartbreaking story and turning it into something beautiful.  I was very anxious when I started this book but I wasn't disappointed.
