If you haven't read a Sara Wolf story you are sorely missing out.
Lovely Vicious by Sara Wolf was a four star read. It was different and fun. It took on a different character than her previous reads that I have read, Arranged & Disarranged.
Isis is a strong, confident character who you just can't help but love. She was once everything but confident and the hurt she suffered at the hands of one person, Nameless, changed that all. Nameless ruined who Isis was, ugly, fat, worthless, or so he made her feel. Isis changed who she was, put up a front and then she met Jack.
Jack is mysterious, rude, and quiet frankly intimidating. He has walls up and built around him that make him scary. He's keeping a secret, a big one. One that Isis finds out about and uses to her advantage. And thus begins her war with Jack!
You watch these two go from hating each other to respecting each other. It is sad all the things they have to face. But through it all, they end up being the only ones who are able to understand each other. They fight, they fall (secretly in love). And just went you think it might all work out, BAM! Sara Wolf leaves you with a cliffhanger than leaves you thinking NOOOOOOO!. Why now?! Why couldn't they get a Happily Ever After.. And not the wait begins to find out where Isis and Jack's story ends up!
I love the way Sara Wolf writes. She holds you and doesn't let you go. I read this book in one sitting. I couldn't put it down because I just wanted to know everything turned out ok! Now.... now I have to wait for the next book. Loved this book, but HATED the cliffhanger. So the wait begins......
