Addison Snow is your typical teenager. She has a family that loves her, friends that make her laugh, and she's wrapped up in the excitement of graduating high school and going off to college to pursue her dream of becoming an author. When her mother, who also happens to be Addison's best friend, dies unexpectedly, her world comes to a crashing halt.
Death changes everyone...
To make the pain go away, Addison and her father travel down separate, dark paths. She chooses to end her grief forever, while he drowns his sorrows in the bottom of a bottle. How do you learn to live again when the most important person in your life is gone?
Addison struggles to pick up the pieces of her life. Instead of getting back to being the carefree teenager she once was, she's stuck handling all of the responsibilities that should have been her father's. She has no time to grieve, no time for emotions, and no time for happiness...until Zander Reinhardt walks in. All it takes is one little handwritten note on a napkin to kick-start her back to life and help her realize that maybe there's more to that life than pain.
But can it really be that simple? Can she really trust this man who makes her feel alive again for the first time in a year?
Addison and Zander both have secrets they aren't ready to share. When the truth finally comes out, is it enough to tear them apart or has something bigger than themselves always been watching over them, pushing them together, making sure they both get their happily ever after?
FIVE STAR REVIEW:
If you're looking for an amazing, emotional, powerful, heart wrenching book, you've come crawlin' up the right tree! Watch Over Me by Tara Sivec is exceptional & phenomenal and all other words you can think of to describe something great.
Watch Over Me follows the broken Addison Snow on her journey to healing. Addison's life was perfect everything any one could ever dream to have and then it wasn't. With the unexpected passing of her mother, Addison's world is rocked and thrown upside down. The life Addison wants is no longer the life Addison is going to get. With her mother's passing, she loses her father too, not in death but from his own demons and the responsibilities that were supposed to be his burden, are now thrown on to the shoulders of Addison.
Addison is broken and lost. She doesn't know who she is with out her parents, especially her mother, doesn't know how to put herself back together.
I wish you were her. You're the only one who understands. The only one I can talk to about anything. I miss you every single day, every single second.
In the door comes the person who is going to change that all, Zander Reinhardt. Zander slowly brings Addison back to life. He brings her out of her shell and back to who the real Addison should have always been. Zander holds all the answers to fixing Addison, but could he hold a secret that could break her too?
This story draws you in and keeps you hooked, hook, line and sinker. Addison and Zander share such a beautiful story on the pages of Watch Over Me. It is such an amazing and heart breaking love story and one of my favorites I have read in a while. Tara Sivec is one of those authors that no matter what she writes the book is going to be amazing. In Watch Over Me she did NOT disappoint. It is by far my favorite book of hers. She is an exquiset writer that just knows how to get you to keep turning the page. This book was easily, easily FIVE sobbing, heartbreaking, lovely STARS! And I would definitely recommend it to anyone looking for an amazing read!

He rests his hands flat on the counter and leans across it so he’s closer to me. I hold my breath as he stares deeply into my eyes.
“Teach me how to bake. Help me, Addison. You’re my only hope,” he whispers seriously.
I swallow thickly and feel my heart speed up in my chest as he looks at me imploringly. I don’t even know what he just said to me; all I can think about is listening to his soothing voice, even if he’s just reciting the alphabet or reading the phone book.
Meg suddenly laughs loudly, and I jump in surprise, not even realizing she’s still standing there next to me, watching this whole exchange. I take a step away from the counter and mentally shake myself out of the trance Zander has put me in with his pretty face and his pretty voice.
Stupid pretty boy.
