Holy sh*t!
Oh hot damn.
WTF.
WOW oh WOW!
OH MY GAAAHD!
AMAZING!
Crazy!
Gut Wrenching!
If you're not getting it yet, Arsen was AMAZING and WONDERFUL in a messed up sort of way!
Arsen by Mia Asher is a story about Cathy. Cathy Stanwood has suffer loss no one should ever have to endure and from all the loss and pain, it has made Cathy numb and bitter.
She has an amazing husband, Ben who tries to shake Cathy of her depression. He loves Cathy unconditionally and with all this heart. They are two peas in a pod and beyond perfect for each other.
Still, Cathy feels nothing.
In flies sex on legs, Arsen! Oh hot damn is Arsen sexy. Everything Cathy is looking for to make her feel alive. Problem is Cathy is married. Other problem is Cathy doesn't care.
When unexpected news rocks Ben and Cathy's world, it seems they may be able to save the marriage Cathy no longer wants. Then, it's all taken away!
"Why me?"
"...body broken..."
"...not woman enough..."
And who's there to save the day but Arsen....
"Oh, Dimples."
Those two words and Cathy comes undone. She surrenders her mind, body and heart to Arsen. Ben be damned.
Cathy and Arsen begin their smoking hot steamy affair. Arsen becomes the medicine to heal Cathy. In the process taking her from Ben. Cathy doesn't care anymore, she only sees Arsen..
Arsen..
Arsen.....
Arsen.......
"I need to feel him inside me."
"I need Arsen to burn me to ashes with the fire roaring inside his blue eyes."
"I need to kiss him. So I do."
"You want to fuck, well, lets fuck. I want to see your tits. I need to feel them in my hands. You have no idea how long I've waited for this. Fuck, Dimples...."
Arsen becomes the air for Cathy to breathe and Ben just becomes a distant memory.
This book absolutely, 100%, tore me apart. You are not sure who you want to feel sorry for. You can't decide if you love or hate Cathy or if you are just sad for her. One thing I do know for sure is I loved Ben, I loved who Ben was for Cathy, I loved who Ben was period, I loved that he loved unconditionally, and hard. I loved that he could eventually forgive, and I loved how strong he was. Arsen was a whole other story for me. I began to burn for Arsen, to crave his next move, his next kiss, just like Cathy. He had a fire that was easily flammable to the reader. He made you need him. I loved him, I hated him, and I needed him. It's everything Cathy experienced.
This book was so well written. It had me feeling every emotion.. Every single one. It is a book that I would definitely read again and definitely recommend to my friends, hell I would recommend this book to a stranger on the street! It's that captivating!
Easy 5 stars for me. I feel like it deserves so much more.......
Bravo, Mia Asher on your debut. It was phenomenal!
