The Redemption of Callie and Kayden ~ 4.5 STARS

With how the end of The Coincidence of Callie and Kayden ended, if our hero was going to survive was so up in the air. That cliffhanger left you breathless, speechless and heartbroken. Would the damage Kayden's father did to him and then the damage he did after be the end for him and Callie? Is Kayden okay? Can Callie save him? Will they survive this devastation?

The Redemption of Callie and Kayden picks up where the Coincidence left off...

"I want to breathe.
I was to feel alive again.
I don't want to feel this pain.
I want it all back, but it's gone.
I hear every sound, every laugh, every cry."

"Callie, look at me... He's going to be okay."

The already fragile Callie sits endless vigil for Kayden not knowing whether he will live or die. The beginning of this book is pure heart ache and sorrow, but I honestly didn't expect anything different after reading book one.

Callie and Kayden have so many obstacles to overcome, like how to heal, how to be honest, how to be them and not who everyone has precieved them to be. Most importantly for Kayden, he needs to learn how to be loved and love in return before he can heal.

"I can't do this without you... I.... I love you Kayden. And I don't expect you to say it back. I don't expect anything. I just want you to know because you deserve to know and you deserve to be loved."

As the book progresses, the two of them begin to heal. Callie is Kayden's air. She is piece of his tortured world that holds him together. All their problems are not solved in this book, but it is not left off with a cliffhanger like book one. When Callie and Kayden are together everything is just lighter, happier, freer.

Callie and Kayden captured my heart in the Coincidence but dominated my soul in the Redemption.

"You saved me countless times. Not just from getting my ass kicked or calling the ambulance,  but because you showed me that you cared... You showed me that I'm worth caring for."

I would give this harrowing story 4.5 stars just for the simple fact that so much was left unsaid and untold but the writing was beautiful. The characters were phenomenal to overcome the obstacles they faced. All in all, this was a book I would definitely read again because I just adored Kayden.

"Callie,"
"Yeah?"
"I think the leaves made it back to the trees."

If you haven't read The Coincidence of Callie and Kayden I strongly suggest you pick it up!

And if you haven't gotten your copy of The Redemption of Callie and Kayden you are missing out on an incredible series! Don't waste anymore time and go read these great books!!
