I can't say enough about Aly Martinez and her writing skills. I was pulled in from the beginning and knowing that there were unanswered questions that needed to be answered.
There were so many twists and turns. Truth's and Lie's. In's and Out's. This book kept me on my toes. When we left off with The Truth About Lies there were so many unanswered questions and we needed to know if Penn made it. Well he did but the story didn't end there. Penn and Cora was still fighting a battle but it didn't end with them. Drew and Catalina has some chemistry that we see but have a ton of questions about and there are more secrets that come to life.
Cora was split open with Penn's death and her ups and downs caused he a tremendous amount of pain. She's trying to understand it all and face her brother in law in ways she thought was over. She wanted a quite life of joy with the girls and wanted to make something out of her life. She was surprised and shocked at the events that she was dealt.
Penn and Drew were on a mission and nothing was going to stop them but there were a lot of secrets each of them were keeping. Would their brotherhood be able to withstand?
I loved this book and the ending couldn't be better. But just wait...we can't end with Penn and Cora...no we have to know Drew and Catalina's story and that will be coming in 2019, The Ways We Lied!!
