This is the first time that I have read something by Brenda Rothert and I must say this book was so good!! I hope this will not be the last book by Chelle and Brenda and I can't wait to read more by Brenda!!
When we meet Jude, we know that he is strong. He's a war hero and wants a better government for the people and more for the military. He wants to the people to know that he understand what they need and he wants that opportunity to give them just that. Jude's eye was on the prize...not only the seat but also Reagan. He fought to resist her but couldn't.
"I need to remind myself that we’re not friends. We’ll never be friends. She’s the enemy. Keep your friends close, but your enemies closer? The Godfather may be right.”
Reagan is also running but she's following in the footsteps of her family. She's not like a typical Chelle Bliss female character. She's a little more uptight and a little to herself but what she is feeling for Jude is undeniable. The staff on both side see it and waiting for them to finally give in was a struggle. Reagan is ready for anything that Jude has to give her and she wants it...all of it!!

I loved how he was able to break her from what she thought she was and made her into who she really was. There was points in the book when I just couldn't put it down because I had to know what was going to happen. I've never read a political book but this one opened by eyes to...could this really be happening?
This book was a hot read and once the flood gates opened, neither could fight what was happening. I loved this book and I must say this will definitely be a book that I want to read again!!
