Review & Giveaway ~ Royal Wedding by Meg Cabot

Synopsis:
From the #1 New York Times bestselling author of the Princess Diaries series, comes the very first adult installment, which follows Princess Mia and her Prince Charming as they plan their fairy tale wedding—but a few poisoned apples could turn this happily-ever-after into a royal nightmare.
For Princess Mia, the past five years since college graduation have been a whirlwind of activity, what with living in New York City, running her new teen community center, being madly in love, and attending royal engagements. And speaking of engagements. Mia’s gorgeous longtime boyfriend Michael managed to clear both their schedules just long enough for an exotic (and very private) Caribbean island interlude where he popped the question! Of course Mia didn’t need to consult her diary to know that her answer was a royal oui.
But now Mia has a scandal of majestic proportions to contend with: Her grandmother’s leaked “fake” wedding plans to the press that could cause even normally calm Michael to become a runaway groom. Worse, a scheming politico is trying to force Mia’s father from the throne, all because of a royal secret that could leave Genovia without a monarch.  Can Mia prove to everyone—especially herself—that she’s not only ready to wed, but ready to rule as well?

Review:

The Princess Diaries: Royal Wedding by Meg Cabot was the perfect story to show me that through thick and thin, true love does exist.

In Royal Wedding, Mia and Michael from the beloved teen series are put to the test. I for one am a complete sucker for this series. From being a teenage girl to an adult woman,  this series still holds such a dear place in my heart. I have grown with Mia. I've watched her develop from the awkward young girl to the hilarious and confident princess she was meant to be.

I'm not going to lie. When the opportunity to review a story about the adult Mia was presented to me, I couldn't even contain my excitement and awe that this fantastic series was continuing with an adult aspect to it. I know for a fact, teen story or adult, I wouldn't have turned it down. But to be able to see how Mia and Michael have developed, it was such a joy and fun experience.

Michael is funny, and witty, hysterical even. The way he is toward Mia and the way he loved her was just everything I hoped it would be. Mia was all you wanted and more. She seriously has taken on the role of princess and run with it.

There is nothing more you want for this epic couple than for them to have the true happily ever after. They are just such amazing characters. The side characters are just as fantastic as well. If it seems like I'm raving about this series, this book, its because I am.

Meg Cabot killed it again. Gave Princess Mia her fairy tale and made us all believe that miracles happen when you believe. Yes, I stole the song lyrics from the movie
;) but I just loved Mia and her prince Charming, just that much.

5 STARS!
