Raine Forester was an average girl leading an average life. She slipped beneath everyone's radar, until Camron Moss, the most popular guy in school, took interest in her and changed everything.
Some acts are unforgivable.
Raine thought she'd been accepted. She thought she was one of them. She thought she was in love... until one moment made her realize she'd trusted the wrong person. Lies are told, hearts get broken, secrets are revealed, and sometimes, true love is found in the least likely places.
Review:
When I began reading Raine, I was all over the place. I hoped for the best but also feared the worst. There are always villains and heroes but I think Raine and Jarrett were both heroes in their own way.
Raine was an excellent student with a bright future ahead of her. She
was not the popular girl in school until Cameron. He was the star of the football team and seemed to like her. He treated her well and
didn't push her to do anything she didn't want to do. His friends
excepted her and she was finally able to be apart of the in crowd. Her family life was simple and that was the best part. Her parents were very religious and things were suppose to go a certain way.
As life moved on, things happened and life began quicker than what she expected and she had to grow up quicker than she thought. Life took her on a whirlwind and she had no one to pull her out of the slump until she became close with Jarrett. He was her knight in shining armour but she was also his heroin. Jarrett was missing a lot of things in his life, more than what he knew and she was his breath. Raine showed him what family really was and how he should be treated.
There were so many obstacles that they faced alone and as a couple. I can honestly say this story was so heart felt and touching. I loved the interaction of each of the characters and some shocked me more than others. There were some parts that I had to read twice because I couldn't believe what I was reading but it came together beautifully. There was hurt in a few characters and I loved how everything turned out.
