4 Star Review/Excerpt--Innocent Lies by J.W. Phillips

Title: Innocent Lies
Author: J.W. Phillips
Genre: New Adult
Publication Date: May 30

Most would view Dylan’s life as a living Hell, but she discovered what Hell really was.

Twenty year old, Dylan was minding her own business when twenty-six year old Ethan sat down at her table. All she wanted was peace from her past. He offered her the protection and calm she had never known. That was until she learned how much of that past he was a part of.

If life had taught Dylan Summers anything it was that not everyone gets a happily ever after.

Can innocent lies to save somewhere kill what you've always wanted? Will the safety that you provider, kill the HEA that you deserve?

Ethan, in his own right, is a good man but the life that he leads or has lead, is not what Dylan needs. Dylan is a soft spoken, kind and gentle soul who has been through everything in life.  Her innocence is what broke her and when she left hell, she thought things would get better.

Ethan's life is nothing that anyone should live. He has so many regrets but in order to save the person that he loves more than life, he continues to lie. One lie leads into two and so on and so forth. How can he be trusted when he can't tell the truth? How can he show his love when honesty is not "the best policy?"

The struggle that they face together is hard and what comes to light is harder to deal with than anything. Can their love overcome the past? Will they have an HEA?

Author J.W.Phillips set me on an emotional roller-coaster and it was the best kind to be on. The pull that they have on each other is unspoken and it is beautiful. I'm counting down for the next release

J.W. is a stay at home mom with 2 0n-the-go kids, an amazing husband, and 1 lovable dog. She lives in a small town in Tennessee, where she enjoys writing, reading, and talking. She was told from a young age that her dreams of writing were ludicrous. However, after a talk with her daughter she pulled out her old laptop and rediscovered her desire to tell stories. She doesn’t consider herself an author, more a teller of tall tales.

Coming May 30!!
